When I was in the first grade, I decided I was big enough to walk myself home from school. School was only a couple of blocks from the house and my parents agreed I was mature enough to walk on my own.
On the first day of walking myself home I could feel my father’s presence. He didn’t great me at the classroom door or in any way make himself known but I knew he was there walking behind me-making sure I made the right turns and got home safely.
Walking with God is the same way. There are times when He is right by our sides and we can lean on Him for every step. Other times we have grown to a place where He can observe us walking on our own, making sure we make the right decisions and get to our destination safely. Walk in faith even when you don’t feel Him at your side.
